mable dunn hall trask summertime kids endowment

Mrs. Trask and some of her great-grandchildren

What special memories grandchildren have of their grandparents. Mabel Dunn Hall Trask’s grandchildren are no different.  One of her granddaughters, Sebrell Singleton, has many recollections of playing Bingo, swimming at Wrightsville Beach and delivering fresh vegetables from her granddaddy’s garden to friends, relatives and many others.  Mabel Trask lived for 91 great years and was able to share happy memories with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  When Sebrell learned about Cumberland Community Foundation’s Summertime Kids program, she knew it would be a perfect fit to remember her grandmamma who had a special place in her heart for all children.  More importantly, it would be a wonderful way to help make a lasting difference in the lives of children in need.  Thanks to the establishment of this fund, many children will be given fun, educational and character building experiences in the summer for years to come.  We know Mrs. Trask would be very pleased with this legacy.
