2009/2010 Directors and Officers

Dr. Loleta Wood Foster
President

Since 1984, Dr. Foster has called Fayetteville home.  A licensed psychologist, she has been very active in our community.  She is a past chair of the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce and the Cumberland County Business Council. She presently enjoys serving on the boards of the N. C. Center for Public Policy Research and First Citizens Bank and is a trustee at Methodist University.  She has been a Foundation Director since 2003.  Foster has served on the Community Information, Development, Community Grants and Executive Committees. 


O. Raymond Manning, Jr.
Vice President

A Fayetteville native, Manning served as an executive with Southeastern Hospital Supply Corp., his family business.  He retired from Bergen Brunswig Corp. in Atlanta, GA and returned to Fayetteville.  He enjoys giving back to his hometown.  He is currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Methodist University Board of Trustees but has been active on the boards of Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, Fayetteville Academy and United Carolina Bank.  Manning has served as a Foundation Director since 2005.  He has served on the Audit, Community Grants, Investment and Executive Committees.

Ashton L. Fox
Secretary

Fox is a horse breeder in Cumberland County who enjoys giving back to her community.  She has volunteered with Fayetteville Urban Ministry, The Women’s Center, the United Way and First Union Bank Board of Directors.  She has been a Foundation Director since 2003, serving on the Community Grants, Education Grants, Investment and Executive Committees.


Jesse H. Byrd, Jr.
Treasurer

A retired CPA and partner with Haigh, Byrd and Lambert, Byrd is a Cumberland County native.  He has been active in many areas of our community.  He is currently serving on the boards of the Boys and Girls Club, Cape Fear Industries, Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation, FTCC Foundation, NC Symphony- Cumberland County Chapter and RBC Bank.  Byrd is a member of First Presbyterian Church.  He has been a Foundation Director since 2007 serving on the Community Grants Committee.
