Created in memory of Waverly Broadwell by his family, the Waverly C. Broadwell Environmental Education Fund awards grants to programs that educate the community about environmental concerns. |
Cumberland Community Foundation offers concerned citizens a wide variety of
charitable giving tools which enable them to help their community -- by establishing a new "named fund" or contributing to an existing fund. The Foundation, an exceptionally agile charitable partner, recognizes that every donor has individual goals and unique charitable interests. Donors with every kind of philanthropic interest find that creating a named fund is a simple and flexible way to accomplish their charitable objectives -- now and for the future.
The Foundation's more than 350 funds range in size from $5,000 to more than $2 million, and each retains its own identity for accounting and grantmaking purposes. Donors may specify their fund's purposes and be assured that their gift will be professionally administered in accordance with their wishes, long after they are gone. A fund established for children today will continue to help children in need for generations to come. Unless donors choose otherwise, their names will be continually recognized by the Foundation. Each donor, whether their funds are large or small, is assured personal attention to their particular charitable interests.
