Nonprofit endowment funds

Cumberland Community Foundation manages endowments established to support nonprofit organizations in southeastern North Carolina. The Foundation offers consistent stewardship, professional investment management, and effective administration. These funds may receive gifts of cash, marketable securities, closely held stock, real estate, insurance, and many other assets. Bequests, Charitable Remainder Trusts, and other deferred gift vehicles also may be used to add to these funds.

Example bequest language:
I give, devise and bequeath to Cumberland Community Foundation, Inc., a North Carolina nonprofit corporation (the "Foundation"), ___________________ [name an amount, percentage of estate, or description of property], as an addition to the ___________________ Fund of the Foundation. This gift shall be held, administered and distributed by the Foundation according to its by-laws and policies.

Each fund listed below serves as a permanent source of income for a local agency or cause.  These funds are held through Cumberland Community Foundation and are always open for contributions. Gifts of any amount may be given to these funds and contribute to the quality of life in Cumberland County.
