Community Room

The Community Room is a meeting space provided by Cumberland Community Foundation for use by local nonprofit organizations in Cumberland County. The room is located in building 310 of the Foundation Center and can be used for board meetings, seminars, trainings and other similar events. Political events, direct service to clients, private parties and social events, such as weddings, receptions, funerals, and graduation ceremonies are not allowed. Entrance and parking are at the back of the building. The room is available seven days a week between the hours of 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM.

Application/Reservation Process for The Community Room:

  1. All organizations using the room are required to carry liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 per incident and $2,000,000 in aggregate and list Cumberland Community Foundation as additional insured. Reservations will not be processed without a current Application Packet (to include proof of insurance) on file. All organizations are required to fill out a new application packet annually.
  2. After CCF receives the application packet and confirms that requested dates and times are available an invoice is created and provided to the organization. At that time a temporary hold is placed on requested dates/times to allow time for receipt of payment. Reservations are not confirmed until payment is received. Reservations are non-transferrable and payments are non-refundable.  
  3. The Community Room has a keypad entry lock. A user code is created and issued to the organization upon reservation confirmation.

Fees (see fee schedule for more information):

$100.00 per hour for occasional use and $25.00 per hour for multiple reservations booked in one transaction for July 1 – Dec 31 or Jan 1 – June 30.

All fees are due at time reservation is made. Refunds will not be issued. Fees can be paid with cash, check or credit card.

General Information:

Reservation time includes setup and break down.  

Meeting space does offer wireless networking.

Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the premises.

Smoking is prohibited in the building.

Users are responsible for cleaning the facilities after use.

Chairs and tables are provided for organizations to use in The Community Room. Podiums, projectors and screens are not provided.

Maximum capacity is 75 for The Community Room. 

Bathrooms and water fountain are available.

Parking is available for organizations using The Community Room in the lot behind buildings 308 and 310. However, the lot is not closed to the public and available parking is not guaranteed.
